I'm looking for a casual FPS experience. The last one I played was a while back, and honestly I doubt many of you have tried it either. Back then, Medal of Honor often appeared in lobbies, but lately the scene has changed. Most multiplayer games now feel like they're pushing you to compete, with matchmakers trying to balance win rates. This often leads to a situation where you're either overwhelmed or left behind, neither enjoyable. I'm after something simple—just jump in, play without pressure, and enjoy some straightforward shooting. Any recommendations? Also, I prefer titles without complex rankings or hidden ELO systems.

Titanfall 2 could be a good fit, especially since it's trending on Steam and offers a distinct experience. The gameplay mechanics also seem engaging.

Titanfall offers a lot of enjoyment. Even when things don’t go your way, the endgame map features are engaging and help turn losses into positive experiences. The 50/50 matchmaker is balanced and reasonable. How would you react if you’re forced into repeated matches where the system automatically selects the first player?

Titanfall 2 is a relatively new title that hasn't become as mainstream, so it avoids the intense competition seen in many shooters. Still, it maintains a lively community and you can jump into a match within about half a minute. The matchmaking process is balanced, and players I've faced have been friendly. Conversations often happen in chat even when teams are separated. The action is energetic and quick, featuring wall-running and massive mech vehicles you can control for extra excitement. It's an enjoyable experience that's easy to pick up at any time, with a solid campaign to familiarize you with its systems before diving into multiplayer.

Matching isn't completely random. It maintains a basic fairness based on your performance, avoiding scenarios with too many top players versus newcomers.

I wasn't familiar with that. Regardless, it doesn't impact the game negatively as it might in other titles. It's possible I didn't notice it at all.

It's not Allied Assault an EA game—it's a different title altogether. The criticism often stems from concerns about its matchmaking system, but it's not affiliated with EA.

I'm assuming that's in response to the mass Titanfall 2 recommendation. You should know that Titanfall 2 isn't actually an EA game. It's made by Respawn, which is owned by EA. However, EA leaves the game untouched and lets Respawn do their thing. It also doesn't have all the paid dlc crap EA's other games have. So don't hate on the game just because EA slapped their company name on it. Give it a shot because it's a really amazing and underappreciated shooter.
