I'm unsure if this applies to the forum, but if you enjoy playing or have played a game I'd like to recommend, suggest something with minimal unpredictable elements—like true random number generation and no reliance on other players' actions (not just multiplayer limitations). For monetization, consider P2P games, subscriptions, cosmetic shops, and expansion-based titles. I'm open to all genres but favor strategy games and marketplace-driven experiences. Avoid Dark Souls or Fortnite. Thanks for your time!
If you enjoy fantasy, witcher III is a great pick. For extended enjoyment, consider an MMORPG. From what I've seen, these games are solid: Dark Age of Camelot offers solo play with group endgame options, though the main focus is on PvP. PVP ranges from 1vs1 to large-scale battles—perfect for evening sessions with a party. It was always fun. Subscription-based and remains the top PvP (RvR) title for over a decade. Everquest II provides plenty of solo content, but the endgame is raid-based (24 players) or group play. You don’t have to stick to those formats. The community tends to be friendly. Free to play with many obstacles; on subscription it’s removed. You can explore, craft, gather resources, and even decorate your homes.
Witcher 3 offers plenty of time to explore if you play thoroughly. Diablo 3 remains a timeless choice, and the expansion adds significant value. Version 2 provides a similar experience with minor differences—start with it if either appeals. All civilizations have their strengths; I enjoy Call of Duty, particularly World at War and Modern Warfare 2. Subnautica offers a calming or thought-provoking experience depending on your approach.
They Are Billions blends zombie survival with RTS elements, offering an engaging experience that hooks you fast—just keep an eye out. Fortnite Battle Royale delivers the classic battle royale format with building mechanics and some decent visuals, though it can feel a bit lacking in polish. As for Cave Story, it’s a standout retro title released in December 2004, praised for its innovative design.
Here are some of my top picks all solo play: Creeper World 3**, FTL Faster Than Light**(with mods), Half-Life 2**, Rimworld**, Terraria, The Binding of Isaac, Thomas Was Alone**, Undertale, Castle Crashers, Trackmania (stadium only), and others. I also enjoyed Spoiler, Witcher 3, Cave Story, Inside Heavy Rain, Fahrenheit, Ingido Prophecy, Beyond Two Souls, LA Noir, Besiege Cluster, Truck Don't Starve, Factorio, Hotline Miami, Kingdom Limbo, Oxygen Not Included, Prison Architect, Quake 3, Risk of Rain, SpelunkySD, Stardew Valley, Super Meat Boy, The Beginner's Guide, The Escapists, The Forest, West of Loathing, Into The Breach, Gods Will Be Watching, Bleed 2, Doom, Doom 2, Democracy 3, SuperHot. I highly suggest these based on story or gameplay.
Swtor is an engaging MMORPG with an interesting narrative. Its progression system also offers a solid multiplayer experience. The game feels similar to a random number generator simulator.
