I just got a new MacBook Pro and after setting up the coding IDE, I noticed the base MacOS Ventura feels a bit limited in what’s available. As a beginner, I’m unsure what to install next. Any advice from someone who’s been around longer would be really helpful!
I operate in DevSecOps with a solid setup. My package manager is Homebrew—it's widely used and I prefer it over Linux alternatives. For virtualization, I rely on hyperkit plus multipass for the command line. I also run parallels for VMs where a graphical interface helps, though hyperkit and multipass remain my primary tools. My editor is VS Code, which stands out for its quality. I also use maccy for clipboard history, AirBuddy for Bluetooth devices, SwiftBar for menu improvements, raycast launcher, Velja to open links in specific browsers, 1password for managing passwords, zsh for shell tweaks (it’s hard to live without it).
Hey, I am back to this post If anyone got any recommendation for MacOS Sonoma, pls tell me
