Hello everyone! On my homelab, I'm running Proxmox as a hypervisor and hosting a Truenas instance for various containers like jellyfin and nextcloud. Everything was working smoothly until recently. A few days ago, the server suddenly lost internet connection despite having Ethernet hardwired into a 2.5GB network card. I've tested pinging 1.1.1.1 and google.com inside Proxmox without issues, but within Truenas and container shells it fails completely. Restarting the VM briefly restores the connection, allowing me to ping google.com before it drops again. I can consistently reach 192.168.1.1, which is confusing. Connecting via WireGuard VPN works fine for streaming from jellyfin, but the VPN prevents internet access entirely. I've checked my phone's Wi-Fi settings and tested remotely. I've updated DNS settings and tried multiple troubleshooting steps with ChatGPT, but nothing worked. Any suggestions or additional info would be greatly appreciated.
realtek-- the one im referring to is a 2.5gb add in card; i also have a 1gb port build into my motherboard that is also realtek both are plugged in and usable locally but neither can access internet
Ordered the I225-V, it looks quite alike and should arrive tomorrow—checking if it performs better!
