Talks are welcome, haha. Are we sure the decryption method is still secure? Or can we run this amazing tool without fear that anyone might break the code?

The last time I relied on it was five years ago; at that time, it was the most secure choice. Now I'm uncertain, but it's sufficient to protect my files from coworkers and other threats.

If you're keeping your midget porn private from your parents, it's secure. But if you're shielding it from hackers, that's a different story.

It's okay when you want to keep something private from people you trust, but avoid using it to hide from hackers or government bodies—it won't protect you well.

Curiously, why do you believe it isn't truly secure? The audit hasn't uncovered any hidden backdoors, and the only unusual aspect is the unexpected departure of the developers. (More details available) If you install your binary from a trusted source and receive version 7.1a, I don’t see any red flags with Truecrypt, though I might have overlooked some key updates.

not included in the software, yet anything requiring a password is vulnerable to basic brute force attacks. We can observe this in AES, MD5, etc. You can get incredible speeds and it won’t take long to discover your password is your birthday. If a hacker tries to breach your system, they won’t stop—encrypted files like the one on a 4R9 290X will cost around $1.40. It will take a long time to crack the passphrase, but it’s definitely possible. Most people use weak, short, and easy-to-remember passwords.
