Troubleshooting: GPU and CPU are underutilized during gameplay in Grand Theft Auto.
I recently played Grand Theft Auto on a system featuring a Ryzen 1500X processor and an EVGA GTX 1070 graphics card. My primary concern was lag, despite having a high-end GPU. The root cause was my RAM: specifically, I had a single 8GB stick running at 2133MHz, which isn't optimal for Ryzen systems. Consequently, I upgraded to two 8GB sticks with a Ryzen-compatible speed of 3200MHz. While the FPS increased slightly, it wasn’t the substantial improvement I anticipated – approximately 30% based on prior research. The RAM is configured using XMP, and my CPU consistently reaches 65°C. Despite these changes, Grand Theft Auto still isn't achieving the targeted 70-110FPS on High settings as demonstrated in numerous videos. I’ve included screenshots captured with MSI Afterburner while playing, alongside details of the graphics settings:

Details:
• 1.5TB 5400RPM WD Hard Drive
• 256GB Kingston A400 SSD
• EVGA GTX 1070 FTW OC
• Ryzen 1500X
• 2x8GB Ballistix Sport LT 3200Mhz
• Corsair VS650 Power Supply
Please share the link to those userbenchmark results. That small image represents only part of the information. Furthermore, you’re running the game on a sluggish 5400rpm hard drive, which is impacting map loading speeds and overall load times. Investing in an SSD for your gaming would be beneficial.
I discovered a 1.5 terabyte hard drive, and also noticed something concerning. The link shows that my central processing unit appears to be performing significantly worse than expected.
Alright so i swapped thermal paste and i cleared CMOS cuz i heard that makes difference and the tests are way better for cpu but ssd and hdd are bad for some reason

That’s due to their near capacity…
The solid-state drive contains 33 gigabytes of available space, while the hard disk drive has 68 gigabytes free.
Therefore, a significant amount of data was transferred, or were they already at maximum capacity? You should verify your files.
Yes, it contained numerous games and applications I didn’t need, so I removed them and gained considerable storage space. The test results appear satisfactory, but the benchmark videos online still demonstrate higher frame rates with comparable specifications. I plan to relocate GTA to an SSD to observe if this alters the outcome.
