Troubleshooting an Xbox 360 wired controller that isn't recognized?
For some time, I’ve enjoyed using this gamepad for solo games, and it functioned without issue until today. When I attempted to connect it this morning, all the indicator lights illuminated, though only sporadically. Subsequently, the controller ceased to operate; my computer failed to recognize it at all. It’s not appearing in Device Manager, and even the "other devices" section—my usual workaround—isn’t recognizing it. I’ve attempted reinstalling the drivers, tested various USB ports, and restarted my computer several times. I’m uncertain whether it is genuinely defective because the lights remain consistently active, not blinking intermittently. I haven’t encountered anyone else experiencing this specific issue.
