Troubleshoot W10 OS installation without an optical drive.
I bought a new computer and am set to put everything together this afternoon. I discovered I need an optical disk drive to install my operating system, but I don’t have one. Can I safely transfer the disk files from the CD to a USB drive? Also, I’m disposing of an old laptop for this purpose. If you have a video guide on how to do it, please share the link. Thank you!
For additional devices, you can utilize Microsoft's Windows 10 tool to generate a bootable USB drive. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software.../windows10 Link: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209
Please edit the title and change BIOS to OS, they are 2 very different thing. As the poster above stated, the only way to do it is by using another PC to create the bootable drive, after that its exactly the same process. Could you list the MoBo, CPU and GPU please so we can see what we are working with.
