Hello Everyone, I recently upgraded my PC with new parts and reinstalled Windows 11. But I’m facing a problem where the system occasionally freezes for a second before returning to normal. The display stays the same, so it’s not obvious unless you’re doing something specific. For instance, when watching a YouTube video and trying to skip ahead, the PC sometimes pauses briefly before jumping to the new time. It isn’t a buffering issue, since I’ve also noticed the mouse stops moving during these moments, suggesting the whole system becomes unresponsive for a short time. This happens across different tasks, not just video playback. I’ve confirmed all drivers are up to date, but I’m unsure what else to try for troubleshooting. If anyone has tips or ideas on diagnosing and fixing this, your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Use DU to remove your previous GPU driver versions, then check if the issue is resolved.

You've fully reinstalled the PC with fresh Windows, so outdated drivers should no longer be present.

Open the event viewer to see activities during freeze periods. List any connected USB devices. Verify if motherboard or RGB software is already set up.

I don't see any relevant entries in Eventviewer. I've shared the system logs here just to clarify. I'm using Gigabyte Control Center and no RGB software. This configuration is set up with various devices, and it hasn't changed since the PC update, so it doesn't appear to be the issue. The microphone is AT2020 USB, headphones are Sennheiser HD560S, the amp is Topping L30, the keyboard is SteelSeries Apex Pro, the mouse is Logitech G502, and the screen specs range from 60Hz to 360Hz across different models.

No one knows the cause. I’ve noticed occasionally one of my monitors linked to my GPU turns completely black. This hasn’t happened before after upgrading my PC, so I’m unsure what could be responsible.

I believe I identified the issue—I think there were problems with my AMD driver. Since I couldn’t open it, I ran DDU, reinstalled the driver, but now it doesn’t work anymore. I hadn’t noticed it would fail before, otherwise I’d have reinstalled the software right away.
