I arrived at my PC this morning and noticed the fans were running. RGB was active but other components showed no activity. I had to power down after ten seconds to avoid damage, which triggered a peripheral error and prevented the system from restarting. After disconnecting all non-essential parts except the boot drive, the issue persisted. I created a bootable media and attempted a repair, but it failed again. Worried, I started copying vital files via the command line. Unexpectedly, disabling TPM resolved the problem and allowed the system to boot. Still unsure about the underlying cause. I removed all Windows bloatware and updated the AMD chipset drivers; the system now works without TPM. My Gigabyte x470 ultra with R5 2600i is running, but I’m still trying to figure this out.
