Troubles with QuestionBFV mice
Hello everyone,
I’m attempting to enjoy some Borderlands 4, but I'm encountering problems. I’ve only recently acquired the game and am now aiming to complete the storyline after a long absence. It functioned perfectly in the past.
My problem is that my mouse buttons aren’t responding. Mouse movement functions correctly, and the buttons operate within menus. However, in-game, there’s no activity. Movement is fine, but the buttons produce no result. It's challenging to play effectively without being able to target and shoot, which is quite frustrating.
I’m using a Corsair Harpoon RGB with iCue and the latest drivers, and I've ensured everything is current. I’ve also attempted to reset my key bindings. Furthermore, I repaired the game file through Origin and uninstalled it last night, intending to reinstall it this evening. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, I would appreciate any insights into what might be causing this. I've explored various online resources without success.
Certainly, however, it indicates that this button is already configured, and should I modify it? I chose to decline as I didn't wish to completely disrupt the settings. If it remains problematic after my reinstall later tonight, I will attempt a fresh configuration.
BF may have received a new version with additional important features and a re-evaluation of the land holdings?
There’s likely an explanation for why it indicates a key is already in use. I suspect you utilize separate controls for ground, vehicles, and aerial operations. Please investigate to see if the system identifies a key that’s currently assigned.
Possibly, I’ve enabled automatic updates and observed them running during other activities. Previously, I hadn't modified any settings, which is why the sudden alterations are puzzling. It was a strange occurrence with no available means to engage weaponry or target anything. I attempted every action possible. Now, I’m reinstalling the software to ascertain if a new installation resolves the issue.
The new installation failed and required manual configuration of mouse shortcuts. This was a peculiar problem; the cursor functioned correctly within menus, whether during gameplay or when loading the game. However, it wouldn’t respond properly within the game itself, preventing aiming and shooting – a significant limitation.
I haven’t recently managed to update iCue, and I can't recall when that happened. It seems to only occur within Battlefield V; all other games I’ve played have functioned without problems. I've experimented with the software primarily concerning my keyboard, not my mouse. Naturally, issues have always arisen specifically within Battlefiled V – it’s the only game I’ve ever experienced difficulties with, and concurrently, the sole title where my processor shows signs of strain. I occasionally encounter frame rate drops, falling from around 90 to approximately 60 at 1440p resolution. However, I’m not expressing dissatisfaction. Furthermore, I’ve frequently needed to reinstall the program due to unexpected crashes and unsuccessful updates. Thank you for your assistance; I value it greatly!
Certainly, Battlefield is frequently recognized as a demanding processor user, particularly when running at elevated frame rates due to the CPU’s continued effort in processing frames for the graphics card.
If the issue is isolated to Battlefield, it might stem from how key assignments are configured. Following a game reinstall, the “shoot” command (likely using mouse 1) continued to present an option to modify the binding, did you attempt to alter it?
The left mouse button was initially set as the default, however I needed to assign a specific function to it. All actions like firing, targeting, and weapon selection required individual configuration. I only remapped existing keys instead of exploring alternative inputs.
