Trouble with Twilight Princess on PlayStation using a first-person perspective and dolphins.
My computer has an Intel Core i5 8400k processor, 32 gigabytes of RAM installed on an ASRock Z370 Killer motherboard, and two FirePro 3D 1GB graphics cards connected via Crossfire. Despite this hardware configuration, I’m unable to achieve a consistently smooth TwinView Projector (TWP) experience in Dolphin, with frame rates typically hovering around 20 frames per second. I’m seeking assistance in resolving this issue so I can finally enjoy a game that holds significant nostalgic value for me.
High clock speeds are more crucial than the number of processing units. A frequency of 3.6 GHz is a basic requirement. Furthermore, AMD tends to perform better with Dolphin emulation, suggesting that 3.7 GHz is a reasonable target on Intel systems. Dolphin experiences performance issues when utilizing multi-GPU configurations; it’s recommended to use a single graphics card. An R7 250x should be adequate for achieving optimal performance.
