I own a Tripp-Lite Omni900LCD in its older square design. The battery remains in good shape, dropping only to 13.3V during light use. The UPS isn’t overloaded; the machine drawing averages under 100W and spikes up to about 200W. About a week back it briefly entered battery mode for a second, possibly starting a self-check. Connected to Home Assistant via NUT, I can monitor the voltage changes—rising to 14V then settling around 13.5V. During these cycles it doesn’t emit a beep, though relays click and alarms remain active. Running a self-test manually through PowerAlert or the front panel triggers a beep. It seems irregular; sometimes every couple of hours, sometimes weeks apart. Voltage readings vary between 117V and 122V throughout the day. Anyone know what might be causing this? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? If it becomes unusable, it’s not a big deal since it protects my media server for years.
