Tried playing LoL for the first time.
I thought it was quite enjoyable. I played a character called Ashe. My two brothers were in the same room while we had one of their friends online via Skype and another person joined randomly. This game is great when you have friends around. Doing something else would feel quite dull. It's straightforward, though I found the upgrade shop at your team's base a bit confusing since I ended up buying random items.
The game isn't terrible, provided you're competing against AI. Many players grumble about their farming skills and point fingers at others.
The game has a steep learning curve. You'll need to master items in the shop, map tactics and strategy, laning up, choosing champions, and positioning during team fights. It takes a while to fully understand, even for casual players. Be patient, enjoy the process. I played Ashe from level one through thirty, consistently around 99% of the time.
You don’t need to stress over choosing what to buy at first. Just keep in mind that games in this style require a lot of time to master, so think about whether you’re ready to invest that effort.
They really resemble each other, but I know DOTA presents a tougher challenge. It would be more difficult to play now that we're all moved to LoL—it'll be nearly impossible for us to adapt. Plus, LoL appears to dominate in terms of esports and streaming.
The visuals in DOTA have improved significantly over time, offering more detailed and immersive experiences. To enhance the game beyond casual play, focus on exploring diverse maps, mastering mechanics, and engaging with community content.
