I'd verify whether those m.2 units use firmware that could cause failure if left unupdated. Check the Samsung support guide at the link provided. If they're already showing signs of trouble, consider contacting Samsung support for a replacement. You can clone the drive to a fresh unit, as it often retains data until complete failure. If you have two NVMe slots, Medicat includes PQ Magic, which should allow cloning. Otherwise, a cloning station would be necessary.
