Trapped in the automatic repair cycle after attempting to combine partitions.
I'm not sure what exactly you were doing when you merged the partitions. You mentioned opening a partition assistant, which seems to have reshaped the G partition and moved the unallocated space next to the sea partition before merging. After that, the system loaded into Windows but didn't start any applications on the desktop. There were errors about .ddl or .dll files, which I don’t remember recalling clearly. I restarted it and am now stuck in a loop.
Your laptop uses an NVMe 1TB drive and runs Windows 11. The important data in the system partition can't be deleted or wiped easily. Someone might have altered the volume letters—like Volume F previously being C—and extended the volume size unexpectedly. Also, after some troubleshooting steps, you tried creating a boot drive and repairing it, but it keeps going into repair mode.
Anyone can help? How can I fix this and get a normal Windows experience again?
An idea comes to mind: relocate the SSD on a desktop, duplicate the entire storage, then reinstall the SSD with a fresh Windows setup. Avoid using partitions for this reason. Updated on October 24, 2024 by leclod
