I recently purchased a new SSD to enable installing Mac OS X Sierra for music production with Logic Pro X. Everything worked until I attempted to boot from the USB I previously set up. I restarted and followed all online instructions about updating BIOS. Any advice?

Hardware: i5 6600K, MSI Carbon Gaming Z170, GTX 760, 8 GB RAM (DRD4), 240 GB SSD

Indeed. Sorry OP, but I'll have to lock this thread. Officially, you can only run macOS on Mac hardware.
