Remember after the Windows 8.1 update it attempts to create an online profile, but you can avoid it. Keep running the Windows update until none remain and you'll be back on 8.1.1.

I completed the update process. I had to install the chipset driver myself. I'm now fetching the latest Windows updates.

I tried it and it functioned. The older devices were oddly enough still present, so I removed them.
