Updating your OS to UEFI is a common change. I’ve prepared this guide for you. Your boot drive is indeed the main risk, but your other storage—especially the HDD with your photos and videos—is safe. Regarding others doing this without reinstalling, it’s a popular method, though I don’t have a direct link. You might find similar advice in tech forums or official documentation.

The safest approach is to disconnect all non-boot devices. However, this method should not damage them in theory.

mbr2gpt is a straightforward method that works in seconds, transforming the partition table and generating a fresh EFI boot partition. It doesn’t alter any data on the drive, and other drives remain untouched. Just ensure the drive with Windows installed is connected; you can safely remove others if needed.

Completed the procedure and everything functioned correctly. I now have SAM, but all the fan curves, power settings, and similar adjustments need to be reworked. None of these changes were saved. The log also mentioned a "Failed to update ReAgent.xml" error—please disable and enable it. Is this typical? I’ll attempt the steps outlined in the log.
