Hello, I bought this prebuilt PC from a friend second-hand. It performed well initially. I upgraded the GPU to the 3070 TI and used an older 1000W power supply from my previous machine since the included one was only 500W—insufficient for the new GPU. I replaced the PSU and booted up without the GPU to verify functionality. The system started but failed to display video.
Keyboard and mouse work, fans spin, but no video output detected. Attempts to fix it included:
- Removing the GPU entirely
- Taking the motherboard out of the case
- Re-seating RAM sticks
- Changing RAM positions
- Swapping RAM slots
- Clearing CMOS
- Disconnecting all connections and reconnecting
- Using only one RAM stick initially
- Restarting with CPU and one stick connected
- Switching to three monitors with different HDMI cables
No beeps from the board during startup, and plugging in a monitor didn’t register any signal. I’ve tried everything to resolve the issue.
I’m open to replacing the motherboard or power supply if necessary, but not if it’s not essential. Thanks!
The system functions with the 1660? It seems the 3070ti might be faulty. Was it purchased new or used? If it was used, had it been tested beforehand? The integrated display ports won’t operate if a dedicated GPU is present, which explains their failure here. If it works with both the built-in graphics and the 1660, the problem likely lies with the 3070ti itself.
