Hello! I just upgraded to the newest version of Windows 10, just like you did. But then I got frustrated with all the changes they made that I used to enjoy—just as you did. This time it was the Start Menu. Before the update it was clean, neat, and easy to use. Now everything feels cramped on the left side, and the app list is stretched out awkwardly in the middle. I checked the settings and everything matched what I had before.

Regarding your question, someone might know how to restore the Start Menu to its original layout. I’ve searched online but it’s tough to describe exactly what I need. If you can help me out, it would be really appreciated! 😊

No, you can't go back to the Start Menu. This adjustment was approved by Windows Insiders, including myself, during testing before the Build 14393 release. If you're not satisfied, consider joining as a Windows Insider to help shape future operating system updates.

You have certain options available, though not everything is possible.

regrettably there’s no option to go back to the previous start menu… unless you reset the Windows version itself.

You have options such as StartIsBack (charges $3) or alternatives like Classic Shell, which is free but differs from standard Windows 10.

Using classic shell you can achieve this style, giving it an old-fashioned feel with a suitable skin.
