Hi, I’m trying to create a short-term internet connection between your laptop and desktop setup. You’re using the Ethernet cable now, but you don’t have a wireless card, and the cable length is limited until tomorrow. Your laptop is already connected to WiFi, while your desktop can be wired into it. I understand this works on Windows, though I’ve moved to Linux recently and am still learning. Let me know if you need help with the setup.

Are you looking for a way to get around by asking about an older Android device?

It seems you're checking if a current version will work or affect anything. Let me clarify—please share more details about the tool or system you're using so I can assist effectively.

It won't interfere with anything, though performance might drop slightly on devices using USB 2.0 or if your setup lacks USB 3.0/3.1 ports. Start by acquiring a USB cable, then navigate to settings and select the network connections area. Within that, locate the Hotspot or Tethering option and connect your phone. Activate the USB Tethering settings (this step may vary depending on your device).

In conclusion, your device ought to recognize it as a network link.

Perfect, great! Your setup with a OnePlus 5T and a single USB 3 port on your PC should work well.
