Hello everyone, one of my coworkers is upgrading from a Ryzen to an Intel 13th Gen PC. While I understand it’s possible to swap in his M.2 drive and reinstall Intel drivers, I’m curious if there’s a method to carry over the user profile and data into a brand-new Windows 11 installation. TIA?

I noticed numerous applications already set up, so I planned to perform a clean installation of Windows 11 on a new M.2 storage and then transfer his user account along with all his files.

Impossible to fix. Only reinstalling everything works. Each update changes so much that moving it to a different operating system isn’t feasible.

Consider creating a complete image of the drive. Transfer the existing drive to the new PC, remove all AMD-related software, and install the appropriate Intel drivers or software.

I've just copied or relocated the drive, and Windows usually manages the driver setup for you these days.

This approach isn't going to function effectively and won't retain all the licenses or settings. It essentially begins anew with additional procedures.
