Hello, your setup sounds okay for now. Moving your PC to the luggage compartment is a common practice, and removing the GPU while keeping the CPU and RAM is fine. Just make sure the cooling system stays secure. No major issues expected unless you notice overheating during travel.

I think you're referring to the CPU and RAM, and you want to confirm they're safe to use.

It should be fine, but removing the RAM is cheap and easy peace of mind. (There's always the chance of the plastic retainers opening up or breaking, especially if your RAM has a fancy, heavy heat spreader.) You'll want to reseat the RAM anyway once you get to wherever it is you're going.

CMOS refers to the tiny power source on the MOBO, and I also retained the CPU.

The CMOS battery remains secure when left in position, just like the CPU.

Despite static buildup, the computer remains protected by bubble wrap.

unless any metal contacts touch the enclosure, the static E seems to do nothing, but more worry comes up during movement of the CPU cooler and GPU.

It seems you're suggesting leaving the rest out except for the GPU and cooler. An AIO could work, but I’d still take it off if you already have one.

If handled gently, everything stays intact. For shipping via logistics providers or with extra precautions, remove the mentioned sections.
