Hello internet explorers! I recently purchased a 120 GB SSD to transfer my operating system from one of my 1TB HDDs. At the moment, I have three separate 1TB HDDs—one for the OS and basic apps, another for games, and yet another for YouTube videos and photos. I’m considering removing all the unnecessary files from the first two drives since they’re cluttered. Can I simply wipe everything except photos and install a fresh Windows installation on a memory stick? Also, is there a way to locate my Windows key so I can set up the OS on a new drive with that key? Thanks in advance for your help!

You can simply set up Windows on the SSD, keeping all your data on the remaining drives. Unplug the drives during installation.

Set up a brand new Windows version on the SSD and then you should be able to enter the product key from the earlier setup. Be honest, there are cases where this worked but the key was turned down, so you might need to reach out to Microsoft support.
