You should duplicate the 500GB Barracuda setup onto the WDBlue, then start from the WDBlue.

Consider relocating system32 and related files. Unless you prefer managing each folder manually and switching between operating systems, there isn't a straightforward method for transferring files easily. Back up your important data—like projects or other irreplaceable items—and reinstall a fresh OS on your new drive. This approach clears out unused programs and forgotten files, boosting performance and giving a tidy appearance with just a few desktop icons.

Lack the Os disc anymore. This old HDD was from a prebuilt PC I acquired six years ago. It now resides in my custom-built machine.

there are methods to achieve this simply: 1. do you possess your windows key? 2. if it isn’t available 3. install Clonezilla (this is the approach I took) 4. do you have an additional USB drive? 5. place Clonezilla on that USB but ensure it’s empty so it can be reset. 6. navigate to your BIOS and set the USB as the primary boot device. 7. allow the USB to boot and then proceed with the steps. 8. once completed, restart your computer. 9. in the BIOS, configure the 1TB drive as the main storage. 10. when you launch Windows, verify that the main drive is C: and whether it’s the 500GB or the 1TB. 11. if the 500GB boots, shut down and remove it from the system. 12. if the system fails to start, attempt the process again. 13. since Windows may disable itself, reinstall the key you previously saved.

Since it's a prebuilt, you might need to purchase a fresh Windows key. Most prebuilds come with one-time use codes.
