I charge for 500 Mbps internet. When moving files from my NAS, the download speed stays at 500 Mbps unless the router's connection is slower.

500mbps is typically the download rate. Upload speeds are significantly lower. Given these numbers, it's likely around 50mbps. The actual speed also depends on the distance involved.

500mbps is just one of your possible speeds. Wireless performance is influenced by many elements, mainly the router and network cards you use. Achieving 500 Mbps on Wi-Fi is challenging unless you upgrade to higher-bandwidth equipment. When transferring files between Wi-Fi networks, speeds drop significantly. I typically reach around 600 Mbps with a dual 2x2 AC NIC, though that requires a more costly access point.
