During setup, I mistakenly placed Windows 8 on my HDD instead of the SSD. Can you find a method to capture a snapshot of my HDD, OS, and everything, then transfer it to my SSD? Once done, how would I erase all data from the HDD so the SSD becomes the boot drive and the HDD remains storage? Your goal is clear!

I attempted this first, but it failed since Linus was working in the opposite direction. His operating system is already installed on the SSD, while mine is on an HDD, so I can't reformat it until I transfer both the OS and files to the SSD.

I attempted to use Acronis 2014 on Windows to achieve the same result as Linus, but it didn’t work. Can you try doing it without purchasing Acronis 2010?

You learned about this after watching a video. The top method is to clean your HDD and set up a fresh OS on your SSD.

I viewed both videos prior to posting on the forum. I’m unsure how to erase a hard drive. This was one of my queries. I don’t have another copy of Windows to install onto the SSD. I would have attempted this if available. If it’s feasible to deactivate one version and reuse it, please inform me.

Check this link for instructions on moving to a solid-state drive without reinstalling Windows.
