You’ve already moved the files to the right location. To install GTA V again without re-downloading, you can use Steam’s built-in installation tools or manually copy the necessary folders into your game directory. Make sure the folder has enough space before proceeding.

it should discover the files, but considering that only happens once steam thinks there is enough space, and starts downloading the game, you are in a sticky pickle... how close are you to having 60gb of free space on the ssd? maybe move some games over to the hdd temporarily, until you can install gta

1. Transfer the files to a secure directory
2. Remove GTAV completely (save all your progress beforehand!)
3. Set up the application in a different place
4. Move the files from the safe folder to the new setup
5. Start playing

I experienced the same problem, became frustrated, and reinstalled the entire game. Reducing the files didn’t help either. Really annoying.

Added the updated position in Steam's settings. Navigate to Steam > settings > downloads > Steam Library folders, then insert the directory where you relocated GTAV onto your SSD.

The area on the C: drive is the default position and cannot be changed. There are no games installed on my SSD...

I didn’t really see any change in loading times for GTA V once I switched from an SSD to a HDD. It still takes about the same duration to load, though it’s not ideal for every title.

You can manage symbolic links similarly to what I demonstrated. Check the guide for details.
