I possess information about an older E-System laptop (sticker link with specs). I attempted to run Linux on it using Slax, sparkylinux, antiX Linux (32-bit ISO), and Rufus following the instructions in the readme.txt. Despite these efforts, I encountered the error "Failed to load ldlinux.c32" when using two different USB drives. Please let me know what steps to take next.

I'd suggest discarding the Compaq—it's not worth the effort or cost.

This might be quite outdated and not ideal for regular use, honestly.

It seems the default is 64-bit, and you might need to revert it to 32-bit manually. Check the lower part of the discussion for straightforward fixes.
