Hello Ubuntu Community, I’m facing an issue with Remote Desktop from my Mac to my Ubuntu desktop. My setup includes a MacBook Pro and a Ubuntu desktop that lacks a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. I need to connect via Ethernet to access the desktop’s GUI directly, without using SSH. I’d appreciate any guidance or resources on how to achieve this. Thank you!

Synergy doesn't address the absence of a monitor. On the Linux machine you must turn on the FB-Dev x-windows output driver and configure a VNC server that runs as a system service. According to what I know, Macs rely on VNC for their built-in remote desktop tools. You should be able to connect using that once set up. This was true for OS X 10.3 through 10.5, which is the version I can access. The only Macs I own are from around 2005 with PowerMacs.
