You’ve already set up Windows 10, so you can simply perform a clean installation on the new SSD. The system will detect the device and start the process. Don’t worry about entering any passwords.

The best approach is definitely a fresh installation. It’s challenging to confirm its effectiveness since I haven’t tried it before.

Reinstall it, that's the top choice.

Go back installing Windows 10 without any worries—it will stay connected to your PC. You won’t need a product key, and even if you’ve upgraded, it should work just fine. Source: I did the same process.

Use Windows Media Creation Tool (available at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-.../windows10). Launch it, choose 'Create installation media for another PC', even though it's for your current machine—this will let you swap the old HDD for a new SSD later. Follow the on-screen guidance to generate a USB or DVD with Windows 10. After completion, swap in your new SSD, connect the USB drive or insert the DVD, and boot from it. For detailed steps on a clean install, visit http://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-c...indows-10/

I set up Windows 10 yesterday and tried to launch GTA5, but it failed since it wasn’t compatible with my 32-bit version. Now I need to upgrade to a 64-bit edition.
