Installed a fresh SSD into an older system because the HDD was becoming very slow. I wanted to see if moving the OS would help restore performance. Looking for the simplest method to transfer from the HDD to the SSD. Any step-by-step guides would be great—whether using a USB boot drive or another approach.

OS migration is simple when you have the proper tool. Check out the helpful tips from the ExplainingComputers YouTube channel. Make sure to configure the new SSD with GPT partitioning. If you enabled system restore points on the old drive, you'll need to adjust it again after the move. The DiskGenius app mentioned in the video works well for this task.

In the office, we rely on Macrium 8 to duplicate the operating system from hard drives to solid-state drives.

The simplest option was purchasing a Samsung SSD and utilizing their migration software. It offers the most straightforward experience available. If you're dealing with a Samsung SSD, consider using their data migration tool.

Unfortunately, it's not a key bx500. I was hoping for something affordable in the meantime.
