Transfer a laptop to a desktop using Thunderbolt technology.
I have an Omen HP laptop equipped with a Thunderbolt port on the back. After assembling my desktop, its functionality has diminished significantly. I considered converting the Thunderbolt connection into a Type C motherboard port and using it for dual monitors. It’s uncertain if this will work, but I’m exploring some unconventional ideas to see what might be possible.
Whisky Tango Foxtrot? I'm not sure what you mean, so I'll guess. Are you trying to connect your OMEN laptop to the Desktop PC's TB port and use it as a dock? That's not possible. You need special firmware and software that isn't part of any OS I'm familiar with. The nearest option is MacOS in Target Disk mode, which helps with accessing HD files for repair or migration—but it can't be used to control a display. If you're after a Thunderbolt dock, you'll need to purchase one. With Windows, a USB-C dock should suffice unless you specifically need the 40GBps speed from TB3.
