I understand you're frustrated with Windows. Moving to Kali Linux is a good choice since many games work there. You can transfer your games and files directly by using the built-in tools or exporting them, so you won’t need to download everything again. Let me know if you need help with that process!

It varies; do you intend to use wine or the Proton compatibility layer from Valve? If yes, you can paste game files to the correct paths (for Steam usually in /home/<your_user>/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/). For native Linux titles you'll need to re-download the binaries. Kali Linux isn't ideal for regular daily use or gaming—it's geared toward penetration testing and digital forensics, built on a Debian testing branch.

I'm using it for fun projects (not actual hacking) which is why it includes all the hacking tools.

I bring a strong background in Linux and am eager to customize my own system. It might sound unusual, but you're not alone in this journey.

It could be a bit challenging to set up this distribution for everyday use, particularly for someone new to Linux. Most Kali tools are also available on other operating systems. Hope you have a smooth transition from Windows to Linux!
