I’m trying to understand this issue carefully. My setup has three monitors, each at 1080p resolution. The left monitor uses HDMI to VGA, the main one connects via DisplayPort to DisplayPort (or vice versa), and the third is also DisplayPort to DisplayPort. Under heavy load—especially when playing games—I notice the main screen goes black, but not during browsing. I’ve tested various cables, but the problem persists.

My left monitor blacks out randomly, especially when a game runs, while the other two stay functional. It seems only one monitor is affected, depending on which ports are used. The third monitor never goes black, even with different connections.

I updated my GPU drivers and reset both GPU and BIOS settings. I also tried different ports on the GPU and HDMI/DP cables, but nothing resolved it. I’m considering the possibility that the issue lies in my operating system, since I haven’t reinstalled it in a while. I plan to reinstall the OS soon and see how it affects things.

I’m still trying to figure out what’s causing this. Please help me identify the problem. My specs are: ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution Intel Xeon X5650, Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1070Ti, 14GB DDR3 at 1333Mhz. I’m really worried—it could be my GPU if that’s the case.

Have you checked previous versions of GPU drivers? That was a problem before.

I didn't really do it, I lost track of how to do it.

Find the Nvidia repository on their site, navigate to earlier versions, and pick a release around late August to early September. (I’m more used to AMD setups because older cards sometimes had strange driver issues. In March-April Polaris cards would get stuck at 100% encode with no reason, and 22.2.2 was the last driver that worked.)

Sure, I'll take care of it when you're free.

I haven’t tested other driver versions, though I did install the latest Windows 10 update when it arrived. It’s been a while since the fix, and the monitors have stayed stable—thanks to the update! *knock on wood*
