Good evening everyone. I’m seeking some guidance on a technical issue I’m facing. I recently bought two games that need the secure boot feature, which is only available with a TPM module. My machine doesn’t have one, but it runs Windows 11 unexpectedly. I managed to buy a TPM module from the same manufacturer as my motherboard, so I’m confident it won’t cause problems. However, I’m wondering if using a new TPM module might affect my existing Windows 11 setup, especially since it handles the boot process. Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks, Phizix.
The TPM module isn't required for 8th generation systems—it's already integrated into the firmware, possibly just needs activation.
You can observe the BIOS menu, but your computer isn't recognizing it.
It's active despite not being able to view additional menus, as indicated by the bios image showing it as enabled. I'm planning to wait for the Gigabyte TPM module to arrive and try using it, just in case it doesn't restrict my operating system.
