I recently got a tp-link deco home mesh WiFi setup and have some worries about its security. I know ISPs can monitor internet activity, but I wanted to learn more about how safe this system really is. There isn’t much clear information available, but I’m especially concerned about it storing banking details or passwords. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can choose any mesh system, enterprise router, or TP-Link Deco; the core remains unchanged. The same data flows through, and your ISP only sees domain queries and IP addresses—never the encrypted content itself. Modern services rely on HTTPS/TLS, so they don’t intercept the actual data, just the identifiers.

You were concerned about tp-link's reliability as a business, not your internet provider. That was helpful, thank you!

You were discussing your ISP instead of TP-Link. Regarding TP-Link... honestly, I’m a bit unsure about them, but I’m just as cautious about most companies. I recommend searching online for information about their policies and making your own decision.
