The renowned YouTube game critic shared his thoughts on the latest updates, noting that the visuals for watch_dogs on PC were adjusted to resemble the console version more closely, while retaining the possibility of enhanced graphics within the code. It's reassuring I didn't support ubi. -EDIT- Fixed the topic title before mentioning "watch dog's"
I had a friend suggest the E3 demo was a different engine for PC. Later, because of time issues, they couldn’t complete the PC version and opted for a simpler console engine instead. That seems a bit off, right? I hope Ubi doesn’t mess up The Division. The game looks amazing, and I’d like to play it in the highest graphical settings possible. But since I’m getting it for the console, that probably doesn’t matter LOL.
watch the video, it mentions that possibility and discards it as there is no performance difference between standard and the "modded" version.
TB with his 1.6 million subscribers can certainly make anything go viral, let's hope this is the case.
The situation reminded me of Day One: Garry's Incident. Around 3.6 million people gathered to learn about the absurdity of a small studio due to a viral TB video. It created a minor precedent that discouraged others from imitating the same mistakes when they are properly identified.
Which is easier: a conspiracy about consoles being inferior or admitting Ubisoft isn’t doing its job well? Should I bring up the chaos of AC4 or the ongoing issues with Watch Dogs, even on powerful systems? I’ve tested the new effects on my i3/GTX 660 and noticed a smoother run, fewer stutters, and almost no impact on FPS. My setup seems just as capable as console setups. Why can’t consoles handle it? Who really is behind these games, and why do we keep blaming the hardware instead of the developers?
Does "far cry 3" remind you of anything? They seemed surprisingly skilled for that title. I'm unsure if they were genuinely compensated by the developers or if Sony or Microsoft had any role, but I suspect there might have been some questionable dealings. It's impossible for Ubi to have created those effects (they did) and then overlooked fixing or updating them later. Someone must have cared about the game in a way it didn't. The real question is who was behind it.
