It fits your budget well. The GA Z97X -Gaming 5 is a great choice.
This ASUS Z97A should also deliver solid results within your price range, as should the Pro Gamer board.
I’ve achieved 4.8Ghz at 1.375V using this setup, and I’ve also hit 4.8Ghx on both my i7 4790K and i5 4690K with the $100 ASRock Z97M OC Formula (currently out of stock).
