Based on what I understand, WiFi 6 offers strong features for smooth multiplayer gaming over Wi-Fi. However, finding top-rated adapters is still limited. I was thinking about moving to a wired setup once I have the right connection, but my living situation makes it tricky—like having to climb into the attic multiple times just to run cables. If an adapter can deliver a similar experience without all that hassle, I’d prefer to get one. What are the best options currently? Where can I read reviews? I’m guessing there are quality products out there, but it’s outside my usual tech knowledge. Thanks, Harry Voyager.

It's actually quite limited, with the Intel AX200 being the most popular and having just received certification, making it a reliable choice.

It won't really be a big deal, I'd just allow the technology to develop further.

Get a PCIe to M.2 key E, then install an Intel AC 9260. It’s likely the same device as the AX200, featuring a 160MHz bandwidth.

Is it required an antenna? Additionally, does the listing indicate 802.11ax support or just AC standards?

Purchase an adapter that includes an antenna. It's primarily based on 802.11 and supports 160GHz frequency bands.

The 9260 supports AC WiFi 5, while the AX200 uses AX WiFi 6.

It looks like you're nearing the price of pre-built components. For now, it makes sense to stick with the USB dongle you already have until you upgrade your home network to WiFi 6. As for how long tech takes to develop, it can vary, but you should see improvements over time. The dongle functions well in most cases, though I notice some issues with warping in multiplayer DCS.
