You can extract the clip using screen recording software like OBS Studio or Camtasia, then trim it to 20 seconds. Upload it directly to YouTube or a GIF site without needing Windows Movie Maker.

Windows Movi.. Hmm, what’s wrong? It seems to be the simplest and most affordable option available.

It mentions that a .DLL file is absent... I'm not sure what to do about it.

It seems there might be some missing information. Could you clarify what you're referring to? If you have the file, uploading it directly would help. Otherwise, using YouTube's trimming feature is an option.

My upload is completely shaky. It looks like 1.6GB for a clip that only lasts six minutes—super unreasonable, not worth sharing. I could just give you a short description. In HL2 you can send squads to specific spots, like the wall I pointed out. I suspect there was a physics glitch because one of the squad members got stuck against the wall and died instantly. It’s likely they hit an acceleration limit before dying anyway. Going into the wall probably caused their speed to spike dangerously and end their life. So basically, teammates are killing each other right after one is hit, and I thought it was kind of ironic.

Hey there, it's been a while since you joined the gathering. A missing DLL should be relatively simple to resolve—it's likely related to a DirectX or similar library that's absent. Try searching online for help. Lightworks is a top-tier video editing tool used on major films like Braveheart, Good Will Hunting, and Pulp Fiction. You can visit their site at https://www.lwks.com/. It's free, though you'll need to pay around 60 USD to include the patent-restricted codecs. (It also supports Linux.) If you prefer a no-risk option or full-featured editing software without a trial, consider dual-booting Linux. They offer solid free alternatives. For Linux options, OpenShot is a solid choice—great for beginners and professional use alike. My personal pick is Kdenlive, which offers excellent features. VLC also has a video editor in development; you might find it useful later. Edit: Adobe Premiere Pro has a 30-day trial that was fully functional when I used it a few years back. It seems the trial still works sometimes. The only downside is a pop-up warning about remaining days, which could be a temporary fix while you search for a more permanent solution. No credit card required unless you're still using it from two years ago or later. Just keep saving regularly, as these programs can crash unexpectedly—even Premiere Pro. Wishing you luck!
