To start learning enterprise grade software, get your self a trial of Vegas, then move onto Adobe Premiere. These are both payed applications but you can get trials of them, there is also a 'free' way of doing it but we don't speak of that here.

Try Sony Vegas for free—it's simpler and more user-friendly than Premiere, and you can use lossless codecs without any plugins.
