Used to owning the Ryzen 5 5600X since its release, I'm planning an upgrade but haven't decided yet to switch platforms. I'm checking out both used and new models for the 5700X3D or 5900X. Also considering alternatives like the 5900X3D and 5950X, though it's hard to pick one. Main focus is gaming, with some everyday use too. My GPU is an RTX 3070, and I expect my monitors to upgrade to a 21:9 1440p at 140hz.
5700X3D clearly outperforms 5900X or more when it comes to product tasks. The gaming experience differs significantly from non-3D versions, and the cost is very affordable.
Interesting comparison between the two models. The price gap is around fifty dollars, but it's unclear if that extra cost justifies the improvement. You seem to plan on staying with the platform for another four years or more, aiming to maximize its potential.
