I'm using Alcohol 120% and unsure if it works on Linux. It usually creates an ISO disc in about a minute or less for a ~600MB file, which is what I've tried so far.

For clearer results, the process speed depends on using USB 3.0 or 2.0, and if Rufus isn't sufficient, try ISOtoUSB.
