Hey there! I've got a gaming rig built around the 90s and early 2000s vibe. It's packed with old-school titles like Northwood Pentium 4, a Gigabyte 8S648FXP-RZ with 2x80GB SATA HDD, and a 1GB DDR 750xGL quadra. The 8S648FXP-RZ is a bit quirky with its SATA ports on a PGA 478 board—still it! I'm looking for more games to add to the collection, preferably free ones. So far I've got Flatout Original, Half Life 1, Doom 3, and Deathmatch Classic. Hope you can help me expand this retro collection!
Was Dawn of War really the latest? The original version was released back in 2004.
What kinds of games appeal to you? Here are some classic options: Wing Commander 3 & 4 (space sim with iconic voice actors), Tex Murphy, Pandora Directive and Overseer (a noir detective adventure in a futuristic San Francisco), Need for Speed Porsche 2000/Unleashed (the top NFS title), and other timeless titles from the '90s and early 2000s.
Shooters, racing titles, RPGs are popular; I enjoy classic civilizations-style games such as ANNO 1701 and similar.
