Try "Hades" for PC and "Cyberpunk 2077" on consoles. Both offer great experiences!

Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 are considered among the greatest survival horror titles ever made. In my view, they stand out. On PC you can try Outlast, which I didn’t really enjoy. There’s also The Forest, but I haven’t played it yet, so I can’t discuss it much.

If you enjoy games with a bit of eerie tension, consider playing Gone Home. It’s not a true horror title, but I still believe it’s superior to many current games that rely solely on jump scares.

From the moment I left home, I expected it to be a horror game, but it turned out otherwise.

I expected a strong impression each time I stepped into a room. The tension and mood really contribute to its horror appeal. Scare moments and graphic content become tedious once you get used to them.

Survival horror is what I enjoy most—especially the classic Dead Space. The PC version needs a high sensitivity setting to play smoothly, but on my PS3 it was genuinely chilling. The weapon system matches the tone; you don’t rely on guns or pistols, but use mining tools instead. The clean HUD keeps focus on the environment rather than health bars. The mood was strong and I stayed alert, especially when navigating tight spaces. As someone mentioned, Gone Home felt a bit unsettling, and the story intrigued me. Other titles that come to mind are Silent Hill and possibly the original Resident Evil.
