Here are some games you might like to try on Steam (Proton) for Linux. You mentioned CS:GO is no longer safe, GTA V only works with mods, and DOOM Eternal didn’t work well for you. Consider exploring titles with strong communities and low cheating issues.

I’m not familiar with many games to recommend that work well with Proton. Recently I played "Before Your Eyes," which doesn’t require AC or DRM management. I can’t confirm webcam support in its translation layer, but if Proton can use webcams it would be great. This game needs a webcam for eye tracking and is an indie story with interactive elements—use your eyes to guide it. At the moment, I don’t know of other games that fit well with Proton; I mainly play Apex Legends, but Brawlhalla (which I used before) works nicely on Windows with Wine or Proton. Holodrive and Move or Die seem more engaging and should also function properly.

Check the site for proton and wine compatibility—it could offer useful suggestions.

It depends on the games you enjoy. Here are the specs of my system:
- Raft (bought recently)
- Subnautica (long time owning)
- Subnautica: Below Zero (recent purchase)
- Bioshock Remastered (newly bought)
- Battlestar Galactica Deadlock (long time owned)
I have more games but I need to verify if they support native Linux ports.

I enjoy Civilization V and Civilization Beyond Earth, whether solo or multiplayer. Both run natively on Linux. From indie titles, I appreciate Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included by Klei Entertainment—both are native releases. They’re a bit basic in graphics but focus more on the experience. Check them out; they’re quite interesting.
