The Bioshock Collection for $14.99 is amazing if you haven't played those. It comes with the DLC for all three games too I think. I have never played any of the DLC so I can't rate that, but each of the three base games is incredible if you like single player FPS. Infinite is by far my favorite in the series, but the other two are solid 9.0/10 games also.
Which game would you prefer, Total War: Warhammer or Total War: Attila?
What RAM does it consume? Does Division feature a single-player campaign? How does Hitman season 1 stack up against Absolution? I'm new to Hitman titles and found Absolution's enemies interesting (assassin nuns, for example). Overall I enjoyed it. What turns it into a poor experience? I'm weighing the decision between PS4 and PC versions.
Tomb Raider 2013 for $5 is amazing. Rise of the Tomb Raider for $24 is also a great deal. They're both awesome third person action games with some light puzzles and are stunning graphically. If you ever played any of the Uncharted series on PS3/PS4, they're very similar. The Fallout Collection for $5 is great if you don't mind isometric graphics. I haven't played Fallout Tactics, but Fallout 1 is great and Fallout 2 is one of the seven games I have ever played that I'd rate perfect 10/10. They're both turn based RPGs and the VATS system makes way more sense in these games than it does in the 3D Bethesda games that came later on. Fallout 2 has the best story of any game I have ever played, and is one of the true masterpieces of the 2D turn based RPG era, with Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI (but FO2 is the best of those three IMO). Fallout 1 & 2 are a lot more adult than the Bethesda games too. Bethesda really toned shit down. Also the death animations are hilarious in these two games when you kill someone with a critical. Fallout 1 starts really slow but it's an awesome game. Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition is a great deal for $24. It's such low brow violent fun. The story is like being in a B-movie with the ominous music and the film grain, and first person parkour feels pretty unique. But the real gist of this game is slicing zombies heads off with machetes and swords and shit, so violently satisfying. It was probably my second favorite game of 2015, behind Bloodborne but ahead of The Witcher 3. And the game looks glorious running at 60 fps on PC.
The game suffers from a poor resolution setting that appears as upscaled non-native quality. This issue is resolved using the FAR mod. 2. Running MSI Afterburner alongside the game can trigger crashes because the OSD software conflicts with RTSS. Disabling Afterburner seems necessary, though some users reported difficulties with older versions. 3. The visual output falls short of expectations, making it hard to justify the performance. On my GTX 970 I managed nearly 60 fps, but had to adjust settings via FAR to achieve it. The expected performance for an R9 380 should be smooth at that level, yet I needed manual tweaks. 4. The frame rate is consistently limited to 60 fps. While workarounds exist, others say it disrupts gameplay. Despite these challenges, the game remains enjoyable overall. For more insights, Digital Foundry posted a comparison video on their YouTube channel.
It seems unclear about your concerns regarding VRAM usage. You mention using tools like Afterburner for fan control, OSD settings, and FPS limits to manage performance. Your question highlights a worry about limitations on your graphics card's memory, especially with a 1080 Ti resolution. It appears you're seeking reassurance about whether your setup would handle the demands of such a configuration.
It was a decent choice for the 970 issue that circulated. It might not be ideal for top-tier cards, but it can still function for lower-end ones.
