It's better to stick with the 3600X until the 4000 series, which will feature a 7nm+ refresh sometime this year.

I got a fresh 2060 Super first, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Instead of swapping the whole system, I went for a new GPU.

Thanks for the reply. I'll save it for a while then the FPS is amazing compared to my old GPU 2060 Super and I really love the 2080 Ti.
